With over 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries, the 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL continued to define the global technology agenda—bridging the worlds of AI, data, quantum computing, robotics, and digital healthcare.
AI and Biotech Unite to Redefine Healthcare
A new era of medical innovation took centre stage as world-leading visionaries explored how AI, genomics, and quantum computing are reshaping human health.
Trevor Martin, CEO and Co-Founder of Mammoth Biosciences, inspired audiences with his keynote “Synthetic Biology: A World Without Disease and Superhuman Possibilities.”
He explained how AI and CRISPR technologies are “rewriting the code of life” to eradicate genetic disorders.
“We’re actively working on curing genetic diseases in the liver, brain, and muscles using DNA editing. We’re starting with rare conditions—but the potential to save millions of lives is limitless,” said Martin.
In a landmark discussion on AI and Neurotech, Matt Angle, CEO of Paradromics, detailed the progress behind the world’s first successful brain-computer implant.
“In our clinical trials, people who cannot speak are regaining communication through neural data turned into real-time speech,” Angle revealed.
Furthering the biotech dialogue, Ashley Zehnder, CEO of Fauna Bio, presented “Genomics Beyond Humans,” highlighting how decoding animal genomes could unlock next-generation drug discoveries.
“We’re learning from resilient species like the spiny mouse that can regenerate tissues—offering blueprints for future medicine,” Zehnder stated.
Meanwhile, Jack Hidary, CEO of SandboxAQ, demonstrated how quantum computing is revolutionising drug research.
“Our quantum algorithms can simulate molecular structures millions of times faster—reducing R&D timelines from decades to months,” said Hidary.
In a high-level dialogue titled “The $10 Trillion Transition: From Sick Care to Health Intelligence,” Dimitris Moulavasilis, Group CEO of M42, and Dr. Georges-Pascal Haber, CEO of Cleveland Clinic, called for a complete redesign of global healthcare systems.
“We must shift from reactive, hospital-based treatment to proactive, prevention-focused health intelligence,” Moulavasilis urged.
Tech Leaders Drive Cross-Industry Innovation
Across the exhibition halls, global enterprises showcased real-world applications of AI, data, and quantum systems reshaping industries.
Siemens demonstrated its leadership in combining AI with domain expertise to optimise energy grids, factories, and smart buildings—advancing sustainable industrial transformation.
Snowflake attracted massive crowds with its AI Data Cloud, empowering enterprises to deploy and scale custom AI applications using tools like Cortex AISQL and Data Science Agent for real-time, secure data insights.
XPANCEO stunned visitors with six smart AR contact lens prototypes, merging physical and digital experiences. These lenses monitor glucose levels through tear fluid and overlay real-time digital information—ushering in the next frontier of wearable computing.
Startups continued to shine with impactful innovations:
- Sharedpro Technologies introduced an AI-powered behavioural analysis tool for autism screening, tracking focus levels and developmental progress.
- Arlan Biotech unveiled a GenAI-driven antibody discovery platform, transforming pharmaceutical R&D.
- Sonic Group showcased sound-based AI systems enhancing human wellbeing and performance.
MoUs Shape the Smart Cities of the Future
In a milestone collaboration, Dubai Municipality and Cisco signed a strategic MoU to accelerate the city’s next-generation digital infrastructure, reinforcing Dubai’s vision as one of the world’s most intelligent, data-driven smart cities.
